Y-Cam SD IP cameras are now available to buy online from our webshop.

There are currently six variants of the Y-cam.

All are wireless.

Three original Y-cam IP camera models and three new Y-cam SD variants, with a micro-SD slot in the bottom for up to 8GB of local CCTV recording.

• Y-cam Knight – white, with built-in IR LEDs
• Y-cam Black – same as the Knight, but black in colour
• Y-cam White SD – as per the white, but a new model with an SD slot
• Y-cam Knight SD – white, built-in IR LEDs, and an SD slot
• Y-cam Black SD – the black version of the Knight SD
• And finally, the Y-cam Shell – outdoor housing for any of the above

Well, I bet you didn’t know this was possible:

You use this SD card in your digital camera, it works like a normal SD card for storing photos.

However, it also connects automatically to wireless hot-spots. It grabs a geotag from the first one it sees after you take photos, and uses the wi-fi connection to upload your photos to your online service and thence your PC.

Those photos will automatically have the geotag attached, showing where in the world they were taken.
